Crisis Center, Inc. Recognizes Volunteers During National Volunteer Week

Posted Sunday April 17, 2022

April 17 - 23, 2022 is National Volunteer Week, and the Crisis Center is celebrating their dedicated volunteers throughout the week. National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to celebrate the impact of volunteer service and recognize the people who dedicate their time, talent, voice, and resources to meet critical needs in the community.

Volunteers are essential to the Crisis Center's work, providing thousands of hours of service each year. In 2021, Crisis Center volunteers dedicated over 10,890 hours of service - from working in the safe shelter to helping sort and distribute donations.  "This work would not be possible without our volutneers," said Gaby Neal, Volunteer Coordinator for the Crisis Center.  "We want to make sure our volunteers know they are valued and appreicated, this week and always," said Neal.

The Crisis Center has a number of volunteer opportunities available.  To find out more information, visit https://www.thecrisiscenterinc.org/volunteering.cfm.
